It's time to discuss cloning. Cuttings It's our way of duplicating the pleasure and enjoying a permanent and indulgent result again.
Of our beloved plants.
If we want to have same exact success with our plants, and save on seeds.
To reproduce a plant and preserve its properties, it is necessary to create quality cuttings while maintaining a number of basic principles, which will ensure a 95% success rate in cutting production.
There is something fun about duplicating cuttings and it only takes you a few steps to do this.
All you have to do is take a young branch of 7-12 cm, with at least two small leaves, and cut it at a 45-degree angle with a knife, then dissect the branch.
Once the cutting has been dipped in rooting gel, it should be placed in Coco Peat, Rockwood, or Peat discs (jiffy) which have been soaked in acidity-balanced water with a root catalyst and soaked for a few minutes.
By applying pressure to the base of the cutting, there is a greater chance of success.
As part of the propagation process, cuttings will be grown in a propagator.
A sprayer will help the leaves to remain at a maximum humidity level (90% and above) by spraying them with solution (water mixed with fertilizer).
There will be a fluorescent light placed in a separate area in which the propagator will be placed.
A propagator may take up to two weeks for the plants to establish roots. Therefore, it is critical to gradually reduce the humidity level in the propagator during this period of time.
The cutting should be transferred to a pot as soon as the roots emerge from the substrate at the bottom of the propagator.
Be patient, the cloning process takes time. At this stage the pant are extra sensitive, so be careful.
We should take new cuttings from the mother plants as soon as we decide how many plants we intend to grow and flower from them. Repeat the rooting procedure with the lighting set to 18 (light)/6 (darkness) and you will have a successful result.
The best mother plant is the one that produces the most fruit, has the largest harvest, and/or grows the fastest.
The future holds the possibility that we can take cuttings of plant mothers every other year and keep them for several years without having to dispose of them.
The goal of cloning is, to take cuttings from our plants and root them in grow lights two weeks before the end of each growth cycle so that on the day of harvest, we can harvest several plants with uniform, good genetics from these cuttings.
Start cloning 2 weeks before the harvest. That way you will have continues supply of plants.

Use only the highest quality cloning equipment! Your success depends on it.
1. It is essential to take cuttings from plants that have good genetics and that are known to be of high quality.
There is a term used to describe it as 'mother plant'. The mother plant should be watered intensively the day before the cuttings are taken.
2. Choose a branch that is relatively young and in good health before you plant it.
3. At the base of the branch, it is recommended to remove the large leaves, leaving three to four small leaves at the top of the branch.
With a surgeon's knife, make a diagonal cut at a 45-degree angle on a branch between the lengths of 7 and 10 cm, using the branch as a guide.
The cutting should be dipped immediately in rooting gel after being removed from the mother plant.
4. It is recommended that you prepare several cuts as needed.
It is necessary to perform sections 1-3 again.
In order for the cuttings to grow properly, they need to be inserted into the coco peat.
As soon as the coco peat tray is placed in the propagator, the rooting fertilizer and water solution should be placed at the bottom of the tray.
Make sure that the coco peat is well soaked in the solution before using it. In order to achieve the best results, you should use mineral water with a pH balance of 6.
5. During the first week after plants have been propagated, it is necessary to maintain a maximum humidity of approximately 100% inside the propagator in order for the roots to be able to draw water from the air without any problems.
The propagator must be ventilated four times a day in order to prevent mold from growing inside of it. Open the lid (cap) for 1-2 minutes.
The plants and the container need to be watered after the lid on the plastic container has been opened and fresh air has been allowed in.
It will take about 14 days for the roots to emerge from the coco peat / Rockwool / coco discs once they have been planted.
It is advisable to place the clones with rooted cuttings in the pots after they have been rooted.
The best way to propagate cuttings is to use fluorescent lamps very close to the cuttings in the propagator (ten cm) and, later on, to use grow lamps far away from the propagator (one and a half meters).
It is also possible to add fertilizer at this point in the process.
Cuttings that have been rooted should be moved to full light gradually and gently after they have been rooted.
Follow the process of cloning carefully and slowly. This will ensure the best results.
